If you exclusively play modern repressings of vintage recordings, I can say without fear of contradiction that you have never heard this kind of sound on vinyl. It's what vintage all analog recordings are known for - this sound. If you love hearing INTO a recording, actually being able to "see" the performers, and feeling as if you are sitting in the studio with the band, this is the record for you. Folks, that sound is gone and it sure isn't showing signs of coming back. This vintage Portrait pressing has the kind of Tubey Magical Midrange that modern records can barely BEGIN to reproduce. When they left, so did much of the reason to play Heart's records.) (Heart had a great band behind them in the old days. The best copies make the case for just how good the album can sound, with wonderful grungy texture to the guitars and a big fat snare keeping the beat. The sound is RICH and WARM with no sacrifice in either clarity or punch. Vintage covers for this album are hard to find in exceptionally clean shape. On side 2, there is another mark that plays once as a moderate pop about 1/4" into track 2. *NOTE: On side 1, there is a mark that plays once as a moderate to loud pop about 1/4" from the end of track 3.
